Sauna Etiquette
The sauna is there to share with your fellow members. To make sure that the sauna is kept hygienic, clean and in working order please follow these guidelines for use:
- Limit the use of water on rocks. By using too much water you are lowering the overall temperature of the sauna. Water overload leads to rust of the sauna heating elements, which renders the sauna out of order. Remember, it’s a sauna, not a steam room!
- Have a shower before you enter.
- Do not use lotion or oils before or whilst inside the sauna. They leave residue on the seats and floors, creating a slippery, unpleasant environment.
- Do not use fragrances like eucalyptus and lavender before or during your sauna. These often leave an unwanted smell in the sauna, and can affect those with allergies.
