The Hack Squat
The newest addition to our line of equipment is the plate loaded Hack Squat. The Hack Squat is a machine variation to the classic barbell squat. This machine targets the strong muscles of the upper thigh including the Quadriceps, Hamstrings and Glutes. The benefit of a machine squat is that the Quads receive much more of the load. This is due to the hips involvement being reduced when compared to a barbell squat.
For the less seasoned trainer, the machine provides more safety as there is no chance of losing balance or having the weight fall on you. The cushioned pads provide comfort and the locking and unlocking of the carriage are as simple as moving a handle.
This new machine is due to arrive in early August, a little later than expected. Be sure to check it out and have a go when it arrives. Here’s to strong legs!
