Daniel Cvetanovski loses 17kg by changing his lifestyle

How long have you been a member of Health Mates?

3-4 years – joined 29/08/2011

What was it that inspired you to join?

I wanted to become fit and strong. Build muscle and muscular strength.

Why was this important?

I wanted to be healthier as well as look and feel better.

What have you achieved so far with your training?

I have seen a huge change in my appearance. I have increased my muscle mass and have had a complete change in my lifestyle losing 17kg since January this year.

What are you currently focusing on with your training?

I am focusing on burning fat and getting lean while maintaining a balanced diet and not becoming too stringent with maintaining a certain body image.

I am currently training 5-6 days per week, doing a combination of weights and cardio every session. I like to do interval training (10-15mins) before and after my weights.

How do you maintain a balanced diet?

I don’t believe in “fad” diets or “quick fixes”, I don’t eat 7 meals a day or take supplements. I have found that having 3 good meals a day, eating healthy food from home is working well for me. I don’t restrict myself from going out on the weekends but I do always try to choose better options. (no Macca’s or KFC)

What are your goals for the future?

To remain fit and healthy, stay focused and enjoy all aspects of a healthy lifestyle such as healthy eating, physical exercise and a healthy mindset. I am hoping to always keep variety in my gym sessions and continue to set realistic goals.

What advice would you give to someone in a similar situation as you were?

Weight loss and gym work means a change in lifestyle. What works for someone else may not work well for you, so trial and error will help you succeed.
