Caffeine… how much is too much?
We consume caffeine through many beverages. V energy drinks give you 31mg of caffeine from one 100ml can, a cup of coffee will range between 90-150mg and a can of Coke will give you 40mg of caffeine.
It is said that 300mg of caffeine a day is safe. This equates to 3 cups of coffee a day. Increasing the amount of caffeine you take in over 300mg per day may give you ‘caffeine jitters’.
Larger amounts of caffeine may make you irritable, sleepless and may even trigger anxiety and cause diarrhea.
